The American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Course trains healthcare providers to save the lives of victims of cardiac arrest through high-quality cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). This class teaches healthcare professionals how to perform high-quality CPR, choke-saving techniques and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) usage. Participants will learn how to apply these skills individually or as part of a team in any healthcare setting. In this course, BLS students will learn rescue techniques for adults, children and infants. This class is appropriate for initial and renewal students.
The American Heart Association Heartsaver First-Aid CPR AED course is for non-healthcare professionals in construction, teaching, childcare, coaches, workplace safety, lifeguards, security officers, counselors and more. Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED is designed to meet OSHA regulations. This course defines emergencies, how to recognize them, how to call for help, and how to perform lifesaving skills. This class covers: bleeding control, asthma, allergic reactions, glove removal, seizures, burns, bee stings, broken bones, and other life threatening emergencies.
